Your CEREC appointment begins with a painless, goop-free optical impressions that is sent to a computer. Using 3-D computer aided design (CAD) technology, the dentist will design your custom restoration and send it to an in-office milling machine. In approximately 10-20 minutes, your all-ceramic restoration, carefully matched to your natural tooth color, will be ready for placement. You do not need to wear an uncomfortable temporary crown or return to the office for a separate placement appointment.
