More Information About Our Services
A dental implant is a permanent replacement for a missing tooth. Made of biocompatible titanium that integrates into the jawbone, dental implants take the role of tooth roots, anchoring a restoration such as a crown or bridge in place. Unlike a traditional bridge, a dental implant is self-supporting, so there is no need to damage the healthy tooth structure of surrounding teeth.
Depending on the number of implants that are placed, dental implants can replace a single tooth, a short run of adjacent teeth, or even an entire upper or lower arch. Dr. Haag has been placing dental implants since 2007, and is able to perform the entire process, from extraction to final restoration, in our office. No running from specialist to specialist to have your procedure done!
Invisalign is often billed as “the clear alternative to braces.” Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign uses a series of clear, nearly invisible aligners to gently reposition your teeth. Because you can remove your aligner, you can eat, drink, and perform your oral hygiene routine as normal, without any restrictions. Many people find Invisalign more comfortable than traditional braces, because there are no wires or metal brackets to poke or cut the mouth.
You will visit Dr. Haag every 4 – 8 weeks, and change your aligners every 1 – 2 weeks. Taking responsibility for your own aligner changes helps you feel like an active participant in your treatment, and fits well into a busy life. In addition, there are no surprises. Before you begin treatment, you will see 3-D models of your final results. You will also track your progress as you change aligners, rather than having no idea what to expect when your braces finally come off.
Dental anxiety is surprisingly common, and many people postpone necessary dental work due to their fears. At Creekview Dental, we have the tools and knowledge to help! Dr. Haag completed advanced training in Conscious Sedation Dentistry in 2004, and has been working with patients with severe dental phobias ever since. We offer multiple levels of sedation to fit every budget and level of fear.
Inhaled sedation with nitrous oxide (laughing gas) is a great choice for those who need to be fully functional after a procedure. It reduces anxiety in both adults and children, leaving you awake but relaxed throughout your treatment. Afterwards, we use oxygen to flush the effects of the nitrous oxide, and you are ready to go on with your day with no lingering sleepiness or drugged feeling.
Oral sedation is an excellent option for those who prefer longer appointments with more procedures done at once, and for those with more severe dental anxiety. You will be conscious and able to respond to instructions, but may sleep off and on throughout the appointment. For oral sedation, you must have someone drive you to your appointment and home, and stay with you for the rest of the day.
Complete Smile Makeovers
If you are unhappy with your smile, Dr. Haag is here to help. Cosmetic dentistry provides a wealth of tools to fix any smile, from composite bonding to porcelain veneers, and traditional bridges to dental implants.
Your treatment will begin with an in-depth consultation to discuss your goals, budget, and current smile concerns. We will take into consideration not only the alignment, spacing, and health of your existing teeth, but also such factors as your face shape and coloring. We encourage you to bring in photos of your favorite smiles so we know what you like.
Depending on the current condition of your teeth and the changes you want, a complete smile makeover might require several appointments. However long it takes, we are here to address your questions and concerns every step of the way!
